Have you ever been on social media and seen some of your friends posting beautiful family pictures? Instantly, you think to yourself, "We really should get pictures taken." But then, you just never get around to it? Are you guilty of saying/thinking one or more of these? Excuses be gone...starting today! "My life is just sooooooo busy..." Everyone is busy!! Believe me, I am right there with you! I myself have two very busy children, and a husband who works what seems like 80 hours per week. Between gymnastics, football, hospital work, and running a business, my life can at times be complete chaos. But trust me when I tell you , family photos are paramount, and you need to make time for them! "There's always next year." But unfortunately, that "next year" never comes. Before you know it, it has been 5 years since you last had family pictures taken. Think how much your children have changed in that length of time. A photo can capture that one special moment. A moment that you can never get back. Don't let another growth spurt go by without capturing these precious memories. "I don't know, we really aren't a "picture" family." There is no one TYPE of "picture" family. Family pictures are a way to document your family; how it grows and changes as the years pass by. Your future generations deserve that documentation. So, what are you waiting for? Throw away the excuses and take that leap. I can help you get started... 1. GET OUT FROM BEHIND THE CAMERA I SEE YOU! You are the one documenting your daily lives. Me, you, and all of the other moms around us. Consistently taking pictures of their families but are never IN them. There are always plenty of images of dads playing with their kids, hanging out on vacation, etc. But where are you? Where is MOM? Luckily cell phones have made it much easier to get "in" the picture. A quick selfie and bam- a pic of mom. Mmmmm...let't think about that for a moment. Wouldn't you much rather have gorgeous images with you, your spouse, and your amazing family ALL in the pictures together? I'll leave you to ponder that... 2. DOCUMENT THE CHANGES IN YOUR CHILDREN Remember when your little one didn't sleep through the night, and depended on you every step of the way?? Neither do I, or at least at this point it is a distant memory. Your kids will be grown in the blink of an eye. Those chubby little cheeks and those ringlets of soft baby hair will be gone before you know it. Document those little quirks now so you can cherish them later. An image can take you back to that moment in time...their sweet little giggle, those cute ticklish toes...the list can go on and on. 3. FUTURE GENERATIONS WILL APPRECIATE IT Seriously...how much fun is it to look through old photographs? My kids absolutely love looking at old pictures and I am sure that yours do as well. It's not often that we actually print a picture anymore, or even take a moment to snap a "family" photo. It is so important to document these things not only for YOUR children, but for your grandchildren and even for generations to come! 4. CELEBRATE THE TWO PEOPLE THAT STARTED THIS PROCESS Remember when it was just the two of you? Back when fluttering hearts, kisses galore, and snuggling while watching a movie was the norm? There were only two before the rest of your tribe came along. Regardless of how you became parents, the "beginning" is something to be celebrated!
