You have booked your family session...so now what??
Choosing Your Outfit.
Picking your outfit can be mentally draining! You want everyone to look their best! Should we match, can we accessorize? These are questions that come up before every session. Check out my latest blog for pointers on coordinating fashion for the entire family!
Do You Wear Glasses?
Do you wear glasses that transition in the sun? I can do many things with photoshop, but removing the dark cast on glasses is not one of them. Be prepared to shoot without them, or bring an additional pair that don't transition.
Make Sure to Feed the Children!
Nothing can ruin a fabulous photo session more than a hungry child! Once a child hits that wall, you can be sure that your session will go downhill fast! Whether your session is early morning or later in the evening, feed your kiddies to avoid the belly rumbles and crankiness that will inevitably follow.
Know Your Child's "Happy" Time!
If your family session involves toddlers or babies, it should be at a time that is least disrupting to your child's schedule. That will help to ensure that they are awake and happy for your session. Be sure to bring snacks, bottles, extra diapers, etc. All of these things will make it easier on you, and help your child continue to be comfortable and smiling!
Don't Forget to Have Fun!
Nothing makes me happier than to see my clients and their children connecting and laughing. If your children aren't happy, don't stress. My job is to make sure that everyone smiles! If you "let it go" and let me take care of it, I promise you will have one of the most enjoyable photo sessions EVER!!
“In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.”
― Gordon B. Hinckley
